Convert GIF to Live Photo
Choose a local GIF, trim the motion you want to keep, and create a Live Photo for Apple Photos. A source GIF normally has no audio, so conversion cannot invent an audio track or visual detail that the source does not contain.
Convert video or MP4 to Live Photo
Choose a local video and trim a short section before creating the Live Photo. MP4 is a common video input for this workflow. Shortening or resizing a long, large clip first generally produces a result that is more appropriate for brief Live Photo playback.
Why this workflow is iPhone-only
The output is saved as a Live Photo asset through iOS Photos rather than created by merely renaming a file extension. Android and HarmonyOS do not use this iOS Photos workflow, so GIF Toolbox does not show GIF-to-Live-Photo or video-to-Live-Photo tools on those platforms.
